It's the long weekend we've all been waiting for, Memorial Day is here! San Diego is the perfect place to kick off your summer with a lineup of fun activities, events, and festivities. Check out these 5 awesome things to do around America's Finest City over the upcoming holiday:

  1. Vista Strawberry Festival (May 27)
    Celebrate the harvest season at this beloved annual event in Vista Village. The whole family can enjoy strawberry treats, food vendors, live music, kids activities, hundreds of vendors, and more at the largest strawberry festival in the nation!
  2. Coronado Summer Concert Series (May 26)
    Head to Coronado's picturesque Spreckels Park to catch the first outdoor concert of their annual summer series. Bring a blanket and picnic basket to enjoy live music under the sun and stars while savoring the San Diego bay views. Concerts run every Sunday from Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day weekend starting normally at 6:00pm.
  3. Fort Rosecrans Memorial Day Ceremony (May 27; 10 AM - 12 PM)
    Pay tribute to our nation's fallen heroes at this annual and deeply moving Memorial Day service at the Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery. The holiday ceremony honors those who made the ultimate sacrifice to protect our freedoms. 
  4. Santee Street Fair & Craft Beer Festival (May 25-27; 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM)
    This three-day extravaganza features hundreds of vendors, carnival rides, games, live music, delicious food, and of course - a dedicated craft beer tasting area! It's a fun-filled community celebration that’s free to the public.
  5. SeaWorld Fireworks (May 24-27; 8:50 PM)
    Every night over Memorial Day weekend, SeaWorld is lighting up the sky with a brilliant fireworks display synced to patriotic music. See shows nightly from May 24th through the 27th as part of their "Red, White and Blue Nights" festivities.
